It was an excellent result for Evan and the team, the team had an excellent plan which worked 100%! Evan managed to get in the lead break with 9 riders and only Evan and Christian House being non continental pros! Evan was in the break from the Tumble climb and had some 60 miles from that point to the line. Following in the team car we could see every move as it happened. Evan was subject to some abuse from Cav........ as was most of the break.

As a newcomer to the world of cycling, I'd be interested to learn what kind of things Cav was shouting?

I also noticed a rider (rapha) giving Ross Creber abuse last week on ITV highlights - is this the norm?

its a pity team z that the cognoscenti haven't replied to your query.according to my big mate jim.sy cavendish became abusive towards his fellow riders because 6they were'nt working well enough together to catch the guy..of course if they had all come together ..then there would be just one result...cavendish..i hope things are a bit clearer ...and if anyone knows the facts they will let you know......frenklyillinformed....cycling correspondent for the bunty comic

ps if its actual phraseology you are after to use in the bunch i think you will find you get some mileage out of using a voice like yon halfwit guy in big brother and say things like " come on dudes...lets try harder" or the old favourite "...does anyone have a spare mars bar..i'm fecked..." ...hope you find this helpful.....frenkboredman..[no relation to chris ]

thanks for the info Frenk, althoug I'm not a BB fan so don't quite get what your on about ;). Heard a few shouts on some of the runs I've been on but was assuming Cav might have had more to say, and the boy that was shoutin at young Creber didn't appear to be asking him for his phone number!!!

I will let Evan tell the words and more that were exchanged in that break when he uploads his diary post.

Cav was unhappy at the guys in the break when it split as everyone was looking at cav to chase and he was expecting everyone else to do it for him. Obviously he realised some riders wouldnt chase as it was there team mates up the road!

Cav was also seen pushing and punching a rider on the run in to the finish on stage 2 of this years tdf!

Too late for the kleenex, Evans probably washed the top, or will auction it at Braveheart complete with DNA certificate?

He gave as well as he got if you believe his comments on Renshaw's twitter page where Cav said:
"Yesterday with 3km to go, Piet Rooijakkers (skil shimano) kidney punched me. Is he a:stupid b:crazy c:disrespectful d:all of the above?"

Standard antics for the run in to a tour sprint finish isn't it

Dino, I take it from your user name that you are a fan of the Flintstones. I can tell you

that the Flintstones movie is having some problems with the censors in middle eastern

countries. It has been passed in Abu Dhabi but not in neighbouring Bahrain. It is felt

that the people of Bahrain might not 'get' the humour, but those in Abu Dhabi do!
