44 Mile Route

Starting at Loudoun Academy (A719) across roundabout at A71 turning right in Galston (still A719) and then left onto B744 for almost 4 miles until just before junction with A76 at Crosshands – turn left onto unclassified road for 1.6 miles then turn right in another mile and follow road into Catrine (joining B705). Continue on B705 for a couple of miles and then turn left onto unclassified road for 2 miles. Turn left at T junction and then almost immediately left again, following this road until the junction with A70. Turn left and continue to Muirkirk turning left at traffic lights towards Strathaven on B743. After 2 miles, turn left and follow this road for 3 miles, turn left and cross the Greenock Water to rejoin B743, turning right towards Sorn. Follow B743 through Sorn and then turn right onto B7037, following this road for about 7 miles into Galston, rejoining A719 and cross roundabout at A71(over footbridge) and then finish at Loudoun Academy.

Follows long route ithrough Catrine, where turn left towards Sorn (at 10.6 miles). Turn left in Sorn onto B743. In one mile, turn right ont B7037 and follow this road into Galston. Cross roundabout at A71 (over footbridge) and then finish at Loudoun Academy. 20.5 miles
