2008 Braveheart Fundraising Dinner

Saturday 25th October 2008

Due the large number of items available to auction and the subsequent time taken to auction them we are this year introducing a silent auction.

Why?

We are introducing the silent auction to reduce the time taken during the main live auction. The introduction of the silent auction is to everyone’s benefit and enjoyment of the evening allowing us to spend more time talking to guests and provide other entertainment. We will still be holding a live auction with our primary auction items.

Heres how it works...

  1. We will make available 10 auction items and display them in the foyer area of the hotel.
  2. Each Item will have a reserve price and a buy now price.
  3. You can place your bid on the bid card provided and deposit it in the relevant bid box next to the item.
  4. Bids will be accepted until the end of the meal approx 9.30pm
  5. Bid boxes will be opened and the highest bidder identified.
  6. In the event that equal bids are made or indeed more than 1 person triggers the “buy now” agreement then a straightforward draw between the equal bidders will be made in their presence.
  7. All successful bidders will be brought on stage to have their photograph taken with guests and will be presented with their auction item.
