Hi every one sorry it has been a while since my last update. Since my Dutch trip I’ve been training hard with little interruption no injuries colds etc which is in stark contrast to the autumn which is good to see, good times!! woohoo!!!! I recently finished up with school and am now a full time bike rider which is really cool (woohoo again!!) but the daytimes are quite quiet at Meadowbank. The plans for the future is hopefully a place on the British Cycling Academy which would be amazing, although still have the educational back up of collage and university depending on this years Higher results. I am smarter than i look! nah im not really.

I have also been doing a little bit of competing at Newcastle under Lyme where I finished last in the sprint after qualifying 21st with a 13.21 and a 2nd in the 20km scratch after sprinting away with 1 and a 1.2 laps to go. This race came with the added incentive of the sprinters bet (which usually happens at the SAVAGE golden wheel scratch race at Herne Hill) between the ODP sprinters where everyone puts £2 in and the person who stays in the longest or finishes highest wins. Newcastle as always this year was excellent with scorching sunshine just a little cooler than when Bruce and me attempted the British Tandem Championships (qualified 2nd finished…somewhere).

Next up is Dudley (dudley dudely dueleye dludeleye)  GP this weekend, another race in the sprinters series. Despite horror stories about the length of the track and turns 3 and 4 (scary times!!) I’m looking forward to it. This will be my last competition before hopefully competing at the Junior World championships in August. After that we have a week long camp in Manchester where we usually share track time with the GB academy and podium riders which is always amazing. This camp was meant to be the Junior European Championships holding camp although it has now been postponed and relocated to St Petersburg (oooh fancy!!) in September. After that we have about a week at home then off to the World Championships holding camp and hopefully the World Championships.

Experience brilliant service and excellent food in our restaurant. Richly decadent, stylish and very relaxed, McChrisites Restaurant is the perfect choice for lunch or evening dining.

Thanks Callum
