Apparently the SCU have told our club secretary that the SCU hillclimb is NOT now going ahead.
It's not listed on the BC calendar either. |

West Lothian Clarion are new club and we're trying to do our bit by organising our first event. If you like the bag pipes you'll be happy to hear there'll be a piper playing at the top of the climb Er, hope that doesn't put you off!
Here is a wee photo of the nasty little climb http://tinyurl.com/nxve9a
Closing date for entries is 3rd October post entries to:

The race is on Sunday 11th October, first person off 9.00am.
It only costs a Fiver to enter, cheques made payable to 'West Lothian Clarion'.
Closing date for entries is 3rd October, post entries to:
Mr William Young Erisco Broompark TORPHICHEN Bathgate EH48 4NL email: Bill.Young@monoconsultants.com
Its a short intense climb with plenty of room for spectators so we are hoping for a good turnout and atmosphere. |

Good luck with the event - I wish I could be there. I remember the climb well as I used to live in one of the cottages at the top and cycled up there from school almost every day!
I sound like a right old codger now!
Rob
PS Is the road really going to be closed? How d'you manage that then? |
