Thanks David, for all your efforts, from one who couldn't make it.People like you somehow make everything important and worthwhile to all those who take part. Keep up the good work. Cheers Ian. P.S. I'm still hopeful of a great result from the Fawkirk boys! Fingers crossed.

This is Michelle here, Johns wife, I have to apologise to anyone who was offended by my sons outburst today back at the club. Nathan has Autism and Tourettes. Although he is nearly 15, he is extremley immature and has learning difficulties and lacks an understanding of social skills and the ability to empathise. He often gets frustrated quicky if stressed which unfortunately results in him displaying aggressive/bizarre behaviour followed by lots of offensive language. Once again sorry if anyone heard him and was offended.

Thanks for a well organised, safe event with great marshalls and catering. Can you organise silky smooth roads for stage 1 next year? :)

Michelle, he'll fit in perfectly well with most of the guys in the field that I know - and they are allegedly healthy!
I have a son with Aspergers (now 19) who has displayed many of the symptoms that you mention above, and the one thing we quickly realised is that there is nothing for us to apologise for. Others either accept you or they don't. The only thing that anyone ever has to apologise for is something that they have control over themselves.

My own views changed a wee bit after I read a book called "The gift of autism".

Thanks to Brian and the Dundee Thistle club for putting on a great event over the weekend. All the marshals, commissaire, caterers, service guys and others involved in putting on a really good event. I really enjoyed the racing... especially yesterday Good course.

Yes! I did.... just coming down toward Newtyle. Right at the start of the race! Had to ride the whole stage with no bottle

I'll be at the Anderside next Sat, or Tour de Whang the weekend after if you're going to either of these? If not then keep it. Thanks

Well done John -- shame you had a bit of a torrid time of it with the technicals.

Must put a note on the course description for next year for people to bring a mountain bike..

You didn't leave it behind. I think one of your team mates picked it up.

Not from me of the racing. I couldn't make it to stage 2.
had to do the best I could whilst standing in my assigned marshalling spot.
