just a quick mention of the LOUDOUN ROAD CLUB APR being held on saturday 25 april.
all details are correct in the handbook and the bc calendar,however the course has changed.
it was going to be run on a new circuit around galston,ayrshire,where the club is based but due to extremely bad road conditions it has been moved to the nearby moscow circuit.
still around 35 miles and open only to 3/4 riders it starts at 12 noon and the strip is in the fenwick church hall as before.
riders are advised to enter early as it is strictly first come first served as a full field is expected.
all other details as before. |

there are only printed start sheets available for saturdays race. the computer they were compiled on does not have internet or email access,sorry.
at the moment there is almost a full field but anyone looking for a late start or enquiring after their number feel free to email me as i think the address on the bc website is wrong.
will do my utmost to get the full result posted asap after the race. |

apologies to graeme small,east kilbride road club who was not given as fourth overall at the time,but was most definetly fourth.
the judges had a very hard task trying to seperate the two big bunchs as they crossed the finish at speed. |

See below for results from todays APR. After much chasing, group 3 failed to catch groups 1 and 2, so an interesting days racing. Great weather, fantastic support from local team and good racing ensued.

Well done to Ross and Stevie for their efforts in organising todays event. Also to all who turned up to officiate and help out, especially Maureen and Mags. Great to see two Loudoun riders in the race, from whom more is expected.

| Well done to everyone involved in the organising. The day was perfect for what was my first road race. The coffee and sandwiches back at the club house make all the hard work worthwhile Hopefully see you all again soon at the next APR... |

glad most people enjoyed the race.
a special mention must go to the only junior in the race,no.38 matthew hamilton discovery junior cc.he rode a very aggressive race and was well disadvantaged by being restricted to junior gears due to the tailwind finish but i reckon he could easily be a star of the future.a name to watch out for.well done matthew |
